Because from what I can see in that video, all that the static page setup did, was move the “grey block” problem from the home page to the blog page. As can be (briefly) seen at the 3:45 mark in the video. The person who made the video quickly scrolled down, maybe to get the grey block out of sight as quickly as possible, but it’s there.

Ahh, I guess you have not selected a static homepage. To activate all the sections of the homepage you do need to select a static homepage first.

For reference please follow the screen record

Hope this helps

I’ve recently set up a blog using Blog Lover, and am very happy with it. There’s just one small problem.

I’ve tried every possible combination of posts and/or static pages, but none of the images appear in the slider. All I have is a permanent big grey block across the page.

Also, the hero slider seems to have the same problem. It simply doesn’t work.

You can see it here: https://garryck-osborne.com/

I’m out of ideas.. can you help, please?
JAFO

I am also interested in changing out the all red in the menu type hover on both the top and primary menus to green #81d742. I am a total novice, so this may be more than I can do, but I’d really like to use your theme. It’s beautiful.

I have done what you said : I create a first Page with an image and some text which will be my homepage then I create another page with nothing in it. Then I setup the first one on the homepage then the second one on the post page.
I saved the config and it works but then I refreshed my homepage and I get again the same as before i.e nothing between the navigation part and the footer. Everything desapeared

I have also set on disabled all the banner slider, latest news, featured, video, recent post and
hero slider

On your screenshot you wrote assign blog page her… I can’t read the rest maybe it is important

https://prnt.sc/nvwf3c

I don’t understand why it doesn’t work…
